A collaborative team of filmmakers, journalists and media specialists, Mortal Coil Media was established in 2007 and is fronted by producer Dana Wilson and director Michelle Coomber. It is a production company with a focus on creative documentaries, specialising in telling stories from the margins with sensitivity, integrity and a distinctive poetic style.The company's first documentary, 'A Child Denied' was nominated for the Jacek Kuron award at the Watch Docs Human Rights in Film International Film Festival, Poland and has also been accepted into IDFA's prestigious 'Docs for Sale' catalogue.The company has a talent for gaining intimate access to social-issues stories and are motivated by the desire to promote intercultural dialogue, broaden understanding and of course inspire and entertain. Although a UK company, its scope is international with a focus currently on central Europe, India and the Middle East.
