Energy efficient electrical & mechanical infrastructural designs for new and existing facilities. i.e. domestic (Apartment complexes, Sub-Divisions, etc.), commercial, light industrial and recreational. • Underground and Overhead (Pole Line) distribution system.• Main & sub panel board/Sizing and selection of transformer/switchgear/Circuit breaker/ final circuit cables/grounding wire. • Sizing and selection of standby generator, automatic or manual transfer switch, fuel tank and bund wall. • Electrical and Mechanical distribution system upgrade for existing facilities• Essential services power supply designs. • Fire suppression and protection systems. • Indoor and outdoor lighting systems L.E.D. • Lightning protection systems. • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). • Air Conditioning & Ventilation Systems. • Vetting of international electrical designs for adherence to local codes and standards. • Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids. • Prepare and price bill of quantities (material list). • Proficiency in the use of JS21, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC and Jamaica Bureau of Standards application document; ES1300, etc. and drawing software AutoCAD. Project management and administration: • Project scope definition and writing. • Conduct tender evaluations and Contractor selection • Prepare as built drawings according to site details; post – implementation. • Schedules and attends related site meetings with Contractors and clients. • Validate Contractor claims for accuracy and payment approval. • Ensures that proper quality control and safety culture exist throughout all projects. • At all times work in accordance with established policies, work methods and system.
