The Model United Nations Coalition of British Columbia is a non-profit organization that strives to promote and enrich Model UN in British Columbia. Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, where students sign up as delegates representing various different countries in a plethora of committees, emulating the proceedings of the UN by debating on various issues and writing resolutions. Model UN (commonly referred to as "MUN") is an extremely useful way for students to actively engage themselves in current events and global issues while working on essential skills such as debating and public speaking. Anyone who has done MUN will tell you ― it's an opportunity you won't want to miss.
