My Sunshine Tutoring Center provides a developmentally appropriate environment for preschool and school age children, providing a solid standards-based foundation for Kindergarten readiness. Our focus is to provide a stimulating education experience which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our goal is to support children's desire to be life-long learners. We provide tutoring for children ages 1.5 and up, using developmentally appropriate practices in accordance to New York State Learning Standards.We assist students in numerous academic and pre-academic disciplines through a variety of tutoring techniques by addressing their individual needs in a constructive environment so that our students will be able to pursue different avenues to their successes.In addition, we also give classes to adults and children wanting to learn the Russian language. Our classes are perfect for those descended from Russia who would like to practice and enhance their Russian skills, as well as for those who have adopted a child from Russia and would like him or her to keep a piece of their heritage. Classes are available from the comfort of your own home, through Skype or any other video and audio service.Our portfolio of proven programs includes reading including phonics, phonemic awareness, oral comprehension and vocabulary, mathematics and logical development of a child, arts and craft and Gifted and Talented program state test preparation, as well as preparation for the ERB.
