NAISMITH INTERNATIONAL BASKETBALL FOUNDATION is the foundation created by Mr. Ian Naismith the youngest grandson of Dr. James Naismith the inventor of the game. The NIBF has awarded amazing candidates for their amazing ability to perform and share their outstanding will of the games unwritten message! And that's SPORTSMANSHIP! Our very first Nasimith international basketball foundation's Sportsmanship award recipient was Mr. Michael Jordan in 1998. We are churning up again and want to help the children of Generation Z get their do justice and the one's that love the game. We will be creating what it is called #S.H.A.W. #2021 Shot Heard Around the World. A $50K scholarship for a young woman and young man if they are studying one of four Dr. Naismith doctorates- Divinity- Education- Medicine- Psychology. This will be a yearly free throw record breaking event that will bring the community together and help each other to be "Strong in Body- Clear in Mind and Lofty in Ideals! Basketball will be going into its 130th season 21-22 season and we want to embellish Dr. Naismith from this day forward, on every December 21st we will remind the world its Basketball day!
