The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) is a group of about 4,200 professional organizers dedicated to helping individuals and businesses bring order and efficiency to their lives. NAPO is the Organizing Authority. The NAPO- Virtual Chapter is one of the largest chapters of NAPO. The NAPO Virtual Chapter began because of a need. There are many NAPO Chapters throughout the world but there were still NAPO members who wanted to belong to a Chapter but couldn't due to proximity. This sparked an idea. An idea to create a virtual platform so any NAPO Member in the world can be a part of a Chapter. The NAPO-Virtual Chapter began on March 14, 2011. Our membership has had the opportunity to hear from some well respected members of the organizing community at the meetings. This impressive list includes Julie Morgenstern, Elizabeth Hagen, Laura Leist, Allison Carter and many more. One reason we have been able to draw such big names in the organizing industry is because we have a large membership and our meetings are very convenient for the speakers to attend. As we continue to grow, we will continue to get top quality speakers to help our membership grow in their ability to serve their clients. Because of all the wonderful meeting content, the NAPO Virtual Chapter was nominated as one the Most Valuable Educational Resouces for the 2013 Organization Awards. That is what 's happening now and we can't wait to see what the future brings for the Virtual Chapter.
