Through its regional and country networks of civil society organizations and activists, the Network of Democrats in the Arab World (NDAW) aims to strengthen democratic transformation in the Arab World by facilitating member interaction, capacity building, representation and access to information. NDAW achieves this by:1. Creating a unified platform for Arab civil society organizations and democracy activists to present their achievements, projects, and research and provide an accurate assessment of the status, challenges and needs of the democracy movement in the Arab world.2. Creating solidarity and familiarity across the region between civil society organizations and democracy activists who will stand in mutual support of one another in times of need and exchange expertise and resources to enhance one another's efforts.3. Identifying grant and fellowship opportunities for its members and providing them with technical expertise in applying to these opportunities. NDAW also provides specific workshop and conference information depending on the sector that the member is currently engaged in (Civil Rights, Community Development, Women and Youth, Religious Charity…etc.).4. Organizing sector specific workshops and training to complement and build up the capacity of members.5. Creating sustainable, local networks that meet periodically and reinforce one another's efforts.
