Balkanac Association is a non-governmental and non-profit association whose goal is to bring together as many young people as possible from the region to connect, promote positive examples of tolerance and peace, informal education, culture, ecology and documentary filmmaking.The idea of establishing a "Balkan" was launched in December 2014 at the initiative of Nemanja Cvetkovic, who wanted to make a documentary on the relationship of young people in the territories of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. While working on this project, the idea of creating a Regional Youth Network was born. Today, the Balkanac Association has members who not only live in Serbia, but are in various parts of the world. They are ambassadors of our association, whose mission is to send a positive image of the Balkans.The goals of the Balkanac Association are primarily to connect with young people, both from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, as well as from Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Greece.In addition to these countries, we also want to cooperate with Diaspora youth, and at the same time to develop partnerships with the whole world, to make the Balkans more accessible and progressive.We connect members of the association at regional and local level through information exchange, advice and good practice, but also through projects in the following areas: informal education through workshops in marketing, media, public relations, education of young leaders in the region…We enable our members to connect through collaboration in cultural programs as well as environmental projects and humanitarian work.The Association "Balkanac" has a clear mission. The main board of the association is composed of young people, but also middle-aged people, who transfer their experience to younger ones in order to make the association's work more efficient.Welcome!
