Mental Health Care - Windsor, Ontario, Canada
We are a mental health charity in Windsor, Ontario looking to fill the gap on mental health support in a non-clinical setting for individuals aged 11-25. Our organization was established in 2018 after Noah Butcher-Hagell lost his battle with mental illness. Our organization, named after Noah, has continued to expand our operations and services to increase inclusivity and maximize accessibility. We offer access to a drop-in youth centre, which is a youth-led experience, where peer mentors can support youth through games, puzzles, and or simply sitting and talking. Additionally, we have computers for homework help, books, a 3-in-1 games table, a television with PS4 and Xbox One, and much more. The Peer Mentors are trained through specialized Peer Mentor Training and QPR Gatekeeper training; this ensures the Peer Mentors can handle a crisis situation. In addition to offer free programs and accessibility to a youth centre, we also offer free counselling to youth through the profession support of social workers and a psychotherapist. Noah's House is empowering and inspiring individuals to break free from the chains of mental illness one step at a time.
