What We Do==========Human-centered in approach and individualistic in support, the Office of New Student and Family Programs (NSFP) consists of staff members and student leaders aiming to support new undergraduate students and family members of all undergraduate students. In short, NSFP works to turn this place of buildings into a place of people for our newest community members.Through communication, Wildcat Welcome, Pre-Orientation Programs, and the True Northwestern Dialogue Series, NSFP works with undergraduate students from the moment they decide to attend the University continuing to the end of their first year. NSFP supports the role of the families of undergraduate students by hosting Parent and Family Orientation, Family Weekend each fall, and communication initiatives. The work of the office could not be done without the dedicated work of passionate approximately 350 student leaders, who NSFP works intensively to select, train, and mentor each year. Our Mission==========Aids in the transition of our new students and their family members. We work with the incoming class from the moment they decide to attend Northwestern through the end of their first year. We continue our support for family members throughout the student's experience through our publications and Family Weekend.Learning OutcomesStudents who engage in the programs, activities, and services provided by New Student and Family Programs will [or will be able to]…• Articulate expectations for Northwestern community members and how they can engage in and positively contribute to the community.
