The Norwalk Economic Development Corporation was created in 2002 by a dedicated group of concerned private business people and public officials and began operations in July 2003. Funding sources include the Norwalk Community Development Corporation, the City of Norwalk, and 70 private sector businesses and individuals, as well as non-profit partners.As a public-private partnership, the mission of the Norwalk Economic Development Corporation is to foster a strong economic environment in the Norwalk area that supports businesses and nurtures growth while promoting stability in the marketplace.
