Government Relations - Novato, California, United States
The Novato Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1915 and since that time we have worked for the well being of the San Francisco, North Bay Community. The Novato Chamber is the oldest Chamber of Commerce is the North Bay, and was instrumental in the region's development; we brought the first roads, utilities, and sidewalks to the town. During the depression, the Chamber orchestrated efforts to bring rail cars of food and shelter to the residents of Novato. Our Chamber is heavily involved in discussions pertaining to the region's economic vitality. In the 1920s and 30s the Novato Chamber led the way to approve a multi-million dollar bond measure that would create the foundation support for the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Today, our Chamber remains active in our community; we host annual events, serve on the boards key regional agencies and continue to work for the economic strength and vitality of the region. Our mission is to build a strong economy where businesses and the community thrive.Members of our chamber vary greatly from individuals, to large multinational organizations. Our ranks include retail, finances, commerce, government agencies and even nonprofits and places of worship. We work to promote commerce in the region by offering seminars, networking opportunities, events, and by serving as the region's principle tourism promoter. If you, your family or your business are interested in seeing what we have to offer you, give us a call, or shoot us an email. We are your friends and neighbors and we live and work alongside you.
