NS Extreme was founded by Richard Burright, after he noticed the growing trend of Extreme Sports Enthusiasts strapping cameras to their bodies in order to record and share their latest stunts. As the popularity of these cameras grew, Rich noticed that there were plenty of applications out there that enabled users to track their routes using GPS or smartphone technology and some that included the ability to compete with others. There were also a growing number of video camera manufacturers entering the market. However, no one was combining these two pieces of functionality.Voila! An opportunity was identified, and NS Extreme was born. NS Extreme is a platform for enabling Extreme Sports Enthusiasts to capture video and statistics, and gamify their experiences by issuing a challenge to their friends using social media and technology that they already own. We remove the barriers to competition, and allow players to engage in a ‘Virtual Real Life'™ race. With NS Extreme, competitors can create a race of their choosing, at the time and place of their choosing, and challengers can compete at their convenience.
