NYC Mentors.org is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that seeks to help high-achieving underserved middle school students by providing them with an experienced high school mentor that will set them up for success by the time they apply to high school. Since NYC has one of the most competitive admissions, which some claim is harder than that of college, we aim to be a potential solution to the growing problem of inequality that severely affects those who are underserved in our community.By pairing high-achieving underserved middle school students with experienced high school mentors, we are paving a path for success for them by the time they apply to high school in New York City.
