Founded in 2008, Onboard Engineering is owned and operated by its Directors, Andrew Stubbs, Damian Mercieca and Shannan Day. Andrew, Damian and Shannan combined, have almost 70 years experience in the Marine Industry spanning pleasure craft through to commercial and high performance diesel vessels.Onboard Engineering are authorised dealers for CAT Marine, MAN Marine Engines, Mercruiser, Volvo, and Kohler Generators.Onboard Engineering employ qualified tradesmen that are factory trained by Cummins, Mercruiser, MTU/ Detroit, and Yanmar. In addition to this, all technicians have extensive John Deere, Northern Lights, Arneson Drive, Seatorque, Seakeeper Gyro Stabilizers and ZF transmission experience.We operate eight mobile service vehicles. Over time, we have developed strong relationships with various marina's, hardstand and slip way facilities.Onboard Engineering has a workshop located in Taren Point, Sydney. Taren Point is located centrally to Port Hacking, Georges River / Botany Bay and Sydney Harbour. Onboard Engineering has an additional workshop located at Buraneer Bay Marina. Onboard Engineering also has a large customer base with vessels on Pittwater. Onboard Engineering services many super yachts and game fishing vessels from Cooktown to Eden. Onboard Engineering supplies technicians to many parts of the world including the USA, Europe, Asia, South Pacific and New Zealand.Our primary first class facility at Taren Point consists of an office, engine and parts storage and a workshop. The facility is fully equipped with overhead gantries, forklifts, heavy duty press and work benches with ample customer parking. Onboard Engineering has many specialty tools required for the marine industry from adjustable lifting gantries to heavy duty electrical equipment, porta power and oxy acetylene kits.
