One Youth Dance is a charity working to improve the lives of young people aged 11 - 21. We were established in 2011 by a 17 year old dancer and remain to this day an organisation made by young people for young people, with the participants voice at the heart of all we do. We hope to become the leading youth dance organisation in the UK, championing diversity, inspiring change and giving all young people a voice through dance. We are committed to raising the standard of non-vocational dance training in the UK, whilst promoting access for all. We believe that all young people should be able to engage with our work, encompassing a broad demographic, and irrespective of socio-economic background. At the heart of our methodology all work is underpinned by the highest levels of pastoral care. Since 2011 we have worked with almost 400 young people, performed to live audiences of 70,000 as well and many millions through televised events, and seen many participants move on to study full time at the country's leading dance institutions.
