The Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) promotes professional excellence and public awareness through education, advocacy and the exchange of knowledge regarding public works in Ontario.OPWA is a not-for-profit organization of professional public works practitioners. Our organization is the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) and the American Public Works Association (APWA). Our membership consists of approximately 630 public works practitioners employed by the Federal and Provincial governments, municipalities, consulting engineers, utility companies, contractors and suppliers. We are the largest Canadian Chapter in the American Public Works Association, and consistently one of the Chapter leaders in growth, outreach and innovation. Our membership has the broadest range of interests and expertise in the public works industry. Membership in APWA is in excess of 28,000 throughout North America, making it the largest and oldest organization of its kind in the world.
