Orchid Project has a vision of a world free from female genital cutting (FGC). Our mission is to foster and accelerate the abandonment of FGC around the world. We are a UK registered charity, with a global reach.Orchid Project works to support and develop partners who are working for a sustained end to FGC, to communicate the importance of the issue and to advocate for more resources globally, given the urgent need for the practice to end. Change is happening. Orchid Project is supporting communities on the ground in Senegal, Kenya, Guinea and India who are choosing to abandon cutting. We work towards the next generation being free from FGC – something that we believe is entirely possible.
