The Oxford Initiative engages across academia, policy, and activism to explore understudied topics in global ethics and human rights. As a community, we are especially committed to exploring understudied topics in human rights and conflict with a particular focus on amplifying women's voices through the power of narrative and lived experience. The two flagship projects of the Initiative are the Global Women's Narratives Project, which has university and nonprofit partnerships around the world, and the Oxford Global Workshops, our short courses held at the University of Oxford on current issues across war and peace, democracy, religion, and refugee policy, including experiential field components. Our week-long seminars draw on Oxford faculty from across disciplines and colleges, alongside dedicated practitioners and policymakers. Our current Fellows commit to co-teaching our seminars and collaborating on new and existing projects.Founding partnerships include the Oxford Global PeaceTech Project; Centre for Peace and Democracy, Belfast, Northern Ireland; International Human Rights Law Association (Oxford IHRLA); RAND Corporation; UNESCO Chair Program; Estácio de Sá University, Rio de Janeiro; Lumiere Health International; Lotic.ai; and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, Global Ethics Fellows via the Robert Myers Fund.
