PageQuest, the first mobile social book club for kids, helps elementary and middle schoolers discover and enjoy great books. Our technology analyzes each kid's individual interests, what friends are reading (social discovery), what kids with similar interests like and what's trending to deliver personalized recommendations (including expert-curated favorites). Once they choose their books (and, unlike school, any books their parents approve are acceptable), kids can: · Check in with the number of pages read · Discover other books based on what friends are reading or by genre · Rate and recommend books · Add comments, photos, and videos (not just written reviews) · Take or create book quizzes · Earn points and badges PageQuest makes reading fun by including friends, video/picture sharing and game play – the very same digital technologies that drive successful video games and online social networks. For Parents, PageQuest provides a safe environment (we scrupulously comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) to focus kids' attention on books, reading, connectivity and creativity. Reading is a true "gateway" skill and kids who read (beyond what's assigned in school) are higher achievers in both the classroom and the workplace. Now available in beta release, PageQuest is the first reading companion app for big kids and preteens!
