Parents for Peace and Justice is a volunteer-run organization that started in 2013. We are parents, brothers, sisters, family and friends seeking justice for our children taken away from us through violence, but most importantly we are fighting for peace. Based in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, we are advocates for those affected by violence on the Northwest side of Chicago including, but not limited to, Logan Square, Belmont-Cragin, and Avondale neighborhoods. Parents for Peace & Justice mission is to draw attention to unsolved cases involving untimely passings of our loved ones due to gun and gang violence. We make every effort to have our children remembered through our neighborhood marches and rallies with the hope that it will bring answers and closure to friends and family of victims, in addition to peace in our communities.Our vision is to have a safe environment in our communities so our children can enjoy their childhood without fear of getting shot or killed. We envision a society that brings peace to our community and justice for our loved ones that have passed due to street violence.
