The Pedro Bay Corporation (PBC) is the village corporation for Pedro Bay, Alaska, established by Congress under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). ANCSA mandated the creation of both regional and village corporations, each charged with corporate stewardship of money and lands under the settlement. PBC has been in operation since incorporating on September 11, 1973. PBC's diversified portfolio of operations and investments includes real estate; land observation/management; private investments; environmental and construction project and support services; project planning, logistics and management; hydrology; fisheries science services; remote transportation; remote medical clinics; emergency medical services; drug and alcohol testing; bear guard specialists; energy, transportation and resource development; Alaska Native business development and government contracting. Pedro Bay is located on the Alaska Peninsula, at the head of Pedro Bay and the east end of Iliamna Lake, 176 air miles southwest of Anchorage. Access to the community is by air and water transportation.
