Pegasus Artworks focuses on teaching self-discipline and critical thinking skills through affirmative interaction with innovative literacy based programming. We provide positive adult role models while promoting the development of self-esteem through the learning of fine and performing art skills and public exhibitions or performances. Pegasus Artworks continues to expand our innovative programming with the goal of introducing more youth to our challenging art programs each year, creating confidence, growing communication and literacy skills, and creating life long creative thinkers.Pegasus Artworks is built on presenting opportunities for our youth to work with qualified professional teaching artists with innovative curriculum that combines technical skill, conceptual thinking, and integrative learning with areas of literacy, math, science, and cultural understanding. The youth served through Pegasus Artworks are given exposure to art mediums, subjects and materials that most do not have access to in school, home or any other community settings.
