Information Technology & Services - Echt, Limburg, Netherlands
Phloat takes care of the introduction of transparency and metrics within companies where ICT is a determining factor. It is mainly about the (further) development of applications. It does not matter whether this development is in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the world. Our approach ensures substantial savings on the (further) development of applications and this approach is based on best practices from the own practice of the past 25 years. Measuring = Knowing Based on your current way of working we can, usually with limited adjustments, introduce an optimized way of working that can lead to substantial savings (10-20% is no exception). By introducing an ISO certified measuring method, the current way of working can quickly be made transparent. The size of an application / software development is measured in function points (similar to measuring distance in meters). Companies typically experience a lack of transparency, making it feel that ICT development is expensive. However, due to the introduction of metrics, software development is more predictable and delivery reliability is increased. Phloat uses metrics among others the development of mission-critical applications to refund new projects or releases, but also in second opinions, audits or technical architecture issues. Best practices Our approach ensures substantial savings on custom application development, whether the application development is located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the world. This approach is based on best practices from the private practice of the past 25 years. I was responsible for the Mediaan software factory (40-50 fte) in the past 10 years and have delivered more than half of all development work on the basis of fixed price, fixed date and fixed quality. Our delivery reliability was higher than 99%. All these developments activities were based on function points and we have collected the key figures over the years. We use this knowledge for all new offers.
