Plan A Consultants is an independent consultancy based in London that provides Design Management services on projects around the world. The company was built and grown through enduring relationships with some of the world's greatest Architects and Designers, with whom we are proud to work with today. Plan A Consultants was established by Nick Willars and Gerard Daws in 2015. Nick and Gerard formed the company based on their previous experience of working together and shared aspirations to provide a bespoke and more independent specialist design management service. Winner of the Building Awards Consultant of the Year 2019, the prime purpose of Plan A Consultants is to define and manage the design process during the design stages of a project so that the Architect has confidence that issues vital to project success are covered. As industry leaders in the discipline of Design Management, Plan A Consultants provides a unique management and consultancy service so that Architects and Designers can do what they do best and focus on their core activities of design, coordination, and production. Design Management responsibilities are inherently embedded within the Lead Designer's appointment and it is therefore an essential role, whether internal or externally sourced that is required over all of the design stages of a project, irrespective of the scale, complexity or location.
