Poverty Alleviation Network & Self Dependence Initiative is based in Nigeria is a not for profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization working to assist in the improvement of the vulnerable, marginalized and deprived rural populace who are face with the poverty and deprivation, especially children and women particularly those in the rural areas.We are involve in various social development intervention activities, projects and advocacy in several fields especially education, health, environment and empowerment of the poor, especially the less privilegedWe carry-out Community mobilization, skills acquisition, education and capacity building activities all geared towards the empowerment of the vulnerable and youths for economic self-dependence. We are also involve in applying GIS (Geographic Information System) in environmental and conservation projects including assisting Community Base Organizations (CBOs) with GIS services and training which aid them in carrying out their efforts employing GIS tools and techniques.We use sports, especially football to network youths, empower them for economy upliftment, distract children and youths from crime and drug abuse including turning them from radicalization and violent extremism. We are actors of United Nations Global Movement for the Framework for Culture of Peace and Non-violence for Children of the World 2000-2010, actors in Debate to Action Nigeria for achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Nigeria.
