Powell May International is a leading 3rd generation family-run Canadian ingredient supplier, sourcing natural and innovative ingredients from around the world. We specialize in inclusions, functional ingredients, natural flavours, and Asian seasoning solutions. At PMI we tackle the current and future food industry trends through our innovative ingredients and product development expertise. Within the past five years PMI's focus has expanded from commodity ingredients to including natural, innovative products, due to the increasing demands of consumers for new and clean label options. Whether it is for ingredients, product development, or assisting with private label projects, at PMI we work with our customers' R&D, Purchasing, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teamsPMI's ideation sessions are offered to our customers, covering topics from market research and consumer insights to our own ingredients and capabilities. From these sessions we are able to understanding our customers' requirements and objectives, allowing us to effectively work with them to develop cost effective product solutions from concept to shelf or field to table. Over the past few years our team has recognized that many of our manufacturing customers have innovative products and capabilities; yet do not have the resources to bring them to the grocery, drug store, club store and independent retail private label teams. This is where the Powell May team steps in. Using our strong relationship with the Canadian grocery trade, we work closely with the private label teams of Canada's leading retailers. We present these innovations and finished products to the private label teams to meet their objectives, whether it is through custom solutions or positioning products in specific categories.
