As proud and active students, we (PPI Newcastle) are inspired to create an event to promote diverse Indonesian culture globally through informative yet engaging and entertaining event. Many cultural exchange initiatives have been ubiquitously established in the city of London but very few or almost none has been introduced in other cities particularly the North of UK. Thus, we take the responsibility to hold such event in Newcastle, the largest city in the North of UK.This event, that will be held on April 30th, May 1st and 5th 2019, will serve as a platform for Indonesian students studying abroad to take responsibility of their nation and participate in preserving and introducing their culture to international level. In addition, Discover Indonesia will be the actual training ground for the students for organisational skills and other interpersonal skills.Discover Indonesia was first established in 2014 and by gaining confidence from positive responses and success it has generated, we decided to turn Discover Indonesia into an annual event. This year, Discover Indonesia 2019 will be held for three days; consist of two days of bazaar and closed with the spectacular performance night. Musical and traditional drama performances will enlighten the performance night. We hope that this year, Discover Indonesia will enhance our magnificent culture in larger scale to the diverse people in Newcastle upon Tyne.
