Prairie Roots is a hub for organizing, training, and empowering volunteers to reach the registered voters in Kansas that do not get out to the ballot box. We're focused on long-term results, community organizing, and bringing more voters into the electorate for progressive change. WHO ARE WE FOCUSED ON?Voters that are registered in the state of Kansas, but have never voted.HOW?By having meaningful conversations with these voters- we're not asking them to vote for anything or anyone, we're listening to them. What matters most to them? What issues do they face in their daily lives? Then, we tie their personal stories with the importance of local elections by encouraging them to vote for the change that they'll see directly impact them.WHY?This group of non-voting registered voters are never brought into the political process- they're typically never contacted by organizations and candidates, and they're not voting.
