world/prog/rock /funk/improv group Pray for Brain is not your auntie's world music band, nor your uncle's country twang, nor your grandad's jazz vinyl. But it is an eclectic mix of jazz, world, funk, prog and classic rock and jazz fusion, with a high degree of telepathic interplay: If Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, Isaac Hayes, Coltrane, Tagore and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan met on a Calcutta rooftop overlooking Marrakesh with the White Stripes as a backing band for the session, you'd be close. The band released the CD "None Of The Above" on Trey Gunn (of King Crimson)'s 7DMedia label in April 2014 to increasing acclaim and overwhelmingly positive reviews. The group will be touring India in Dec 2014.
