Project PRECAST aims at determination of the most efficient shape and composition of a nanomedicine, before its potential employment for the personalized treatment of brain cancer patients. Overall objective of the project is to develop brain cancer (Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM))-targeting nanomaterials as contrast agents (CAs) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In case of successful cancer-targeting these novel nanoparticles would enable strong contrast enhancement, selectively at the tumor location. Upon testing different structures of nanomaterials, the methodology would reveal the most effective composition of a nanomedicine for potent GBM cancer targeting and personalized treatment. This project has received funding from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, Program for Excellent Projects of Young Researchers (PROMIS), 6060755
