Hospital & Health Care - Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada
The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to raise money to advance health care for the patients of the hospital and the people of Prince Edward County. The funds we raise pay for the of purchase medical equipment and maintenance needs for Quinte Health Care Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (QHC PECMH), and on occasion equipment for our regional hospitals within QHC that benefits residents of Prince Edward County. We are also well on the way to building a new hospital in Prince Edward County. To meet that commitment PECMHF launched the Back the Build campaign in 2018 to raise the funds required to build the new hospital. The funds raised to date have come from people living across our province and beyond. The current hospital – which serves more than 40,000 patient visits a year – is over 60 years old and is too small to accommodate the county's growing population. With construction targeted to begin in 2024, now is the time to be forward-thinking to meet the healthcare needs of the community, for today and well into the future. The hospital will comprise over 90,000 square feet of space and provide 24/7 emergency services.Having a hospital in Prince Edward County is essential to the health and well-being of this community and to attracting and retaining health care providers to The County.Donations ensure our dedicated medical team continues to have access to the tools they need to provide you and your loved ones with exceptional care in the County.
