Arts and Crafts - Austin, TX, US
Project ClayPlay fosters creativity for high-risk youth by presenting hands-on clay arts education in Austin, Texas. We recognize that access to art materials and instruction is contingent on mobility. Using both community facilities and our own customized Airstream mobile classroom, our highly trained instructors transport the ceramic studio environment to community centers, schools and residential treatment facilities. We facilitate critical thinking through art production, self-confidence through creativity and ingenuity through imagination. Find out you can, too. Since our launch, we've served over 1800 children in Austin. We have partnered with signature organizations such as Austin Groups for the Elderly, Communities in Schools, Citizen Schools, 21st Century, Helping Hand Home for Children and the Carver Museum. We've worked with Austin youth in after school programs, on site at Housing Authority of Austin projects, in classes at Lifeworks and with seniors at Elderhaven.
