Project Hawai'i, Inc. is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers to enhance the lives of homeless children living in poverty on the islands of Hawai'i. Our agency is solely supported by public donations which allows us to create and develop even more programs throughout the year to meet the clients needs. Furthermore, since we are run by volunteers, the tax deductible donations go much further than if we had paid staff.Our agency was established on the islands of Hawai'i in 2004 under a different name, (Christmas Wish Program, Inc) and transitioned to Project Hawai'i, Inc. in 2006 starting an educational summer camp for homeless children.Our agency continues to provide year round services to both the islands of O'ahu and Hawai'i (also known as the Big Island). Some of these services include outreach to the homeless children on a monthly bases to assure we are not missing any new families living in crisis. Our dedicated volunteer team will search deep in the bushes, high on the hills and along the waters edge in secluded areas to find these precious souls.Our annual line up of events include holiday parties, monthly give aways, emergency supportive services and of course our award winning summer camp.We are always inviting new volunteers and community members to step in to make the difference these children deserve by taking on the ever changing challenges we face month after month.Our mission for 2020 is to open a teen center on the Big Island and O'ahu to help our homeless teens succeed and move forward to college. Seeking partnerships to make this a reality.
