At Prospera, we believe in young people's inherent ability to empower each other. Our purpose is to create opportunities for children to discover their own unique abilities and succeed both in school and in life. Founded in 1999 by teachers in the Latino immigrant community, Prospera is built on the values of: individual agency, community, heritage, and achievement. These core values inspire us to work tirelessly, so that all children and youth have the opportunities they deserve in order to excel. To assist schools and community organizations wishing to serve the Latino community with educational after school programs, Prospera offers support, professional development, and instructional materials.
