The School of Public Policy and Governance (SPPG) is a research-based teaching and training space designed to equip young professionals to contribute to the policy arena. Here, students learn to think beyond conventional models of growth and development by designing institutional frameworks for good and sustainable governance. Our multi-disciplinary curriculum and innovative pedagogy, combining theory with experiential learning, augments one's learning experience and sensitises students to the ground realities of policymaking. Students are also encouraged to specialize in policy concentrations, thereby enabling them to join policy and research groups catering to specific sectors.The School aims to participate in broader policy debates and strengthen policymaking through evidence-based research, while engaging with civil society and institutions.Our Mission: The programme is designed to prepare a cohort of public policy professionals by: • Strengthening and advancing the academic base - theoretical and methodological - in the discipline of public policy.• Enabling students to acquire practical skills beyond classroom teaching, thereby facilitating the application of theoretical knowledge to concrete policy situations. • Helping students to engage with and address problems affecting contemporary policy concerns.• Developing student ability and competence to work as policy professionals.• Encouraging and promoting students for further studies, including PhD programmes in public policy or related areas.
