Education/Training - N/A, N/A, NZ
REAP Wairarapa is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's thirteen Rural Education Activities Programmes. We believe in the power of lifelong learning as a tool for community growth as well as social and economic strength. We work in early childhood education, schools, adult community education, user-pays adult education, youth employment transitions, and many other areas of community interest such as events, festivals, and projects. Our team of staff provides support, guidance, professional development and direct programme delivery to our community, as well as to educators from other providers in the region. Our region includes Featherston in the south to Pahiatua in the north, and we deliver and support programmes in towns large and small. We are primarily funded by REAP Aotearoa (and therefore the Tertiary Education Commission and the Ministry of Education NZ), and Wairarapa's councils and trusts: Masterton District Council, Carterton District Council, South Wairarapa District Council, Masterton Trust Lands Trust, and the Eastern and Central Community Trust.
