Incorporated in October 1995, Redwood Community Services (formerly Redwood Children's Services) began as a Foster Family Agency with a vision to grow and expand services to provide a total "Care Package" of support to at risk youth, adults and families in our communities. RCS has grown into a multi-program ‘Family Services Agency' expanding services to provide a comprehensive continuum of care. RCS is committed to developing programs that ensure long term success.Redwood Community Services is uniquely poised to partner with the Mendocino County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) to implement Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Services-Differential Response, strength based and family centered response designed to help ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and youth at the earliest signs of child abuse and/or neglect. Redwood Community Services has partnered with HHSA for over 22 years to ensure safe environments for Mendocino County's most vulnerable children through a variety of programs designed to enhance lives and strengthen families. A consistent thread throughout our history has been program development individualized to meet each family and centered on keeping children safe and families together. Meeting the needs of abused, neglected and high-risk children, including preventing out-of home placement and assisting with family reunification, is the primary focus of Redwood Community Services' programs.
