Incorporated in October 1995, Redwood Community Services (formerly Redwood Children's Services) began as a Foster Family Agency with a vision to grow and expand services to provide a total "Care Package" of support to at risk youth, adults and families in our communities. RCS has grown into a multi-program ‘Family Services Agency' expanding services to provide a comprehensive continuum of care. Redwood Community Services has partnered with HHSA for over 22 years to ensure safe environments for Mendocino County's most vulnerable children through a variety of programs designed to enhance lives and strengthen families. A consistent thread throughout our history has been program development individualized to meet each family and centered on keeping children safe and families together. Meeting the needs of abused, neglected and high-risk children, including preventing out-of home placement and assisting with family reunification, is the primary focus of Redwood Community Services' programs.
