Residential Options of Florida (ROOF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to increase housing opportunities for Floridians with developmental disabilities. We are an independent, statewide organization with members representing each region of Florida. The mission of ROOF is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to successfully obtain and maintain affordable and inclusionary housing of their choice.Our vision is that every community in Florida will have an abundance of housing choices that meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Our goals are (1) to provide housing information to individuals, families and providers, (2) to advocate for inclusionary housing, (3) to collect data on the housing needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and (4) to build regional networks that are responsive to the affordable housing needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in local communities across Florida.We invite you to connect with us!
