We are building a platform that allows people to share and discover music with their friends, family, celebrities, and anyone with great taste in music by posting the songs that they love. It is structured similar to Instagram, where instead of posting pictures, users can post individual songs to their followers and then listen to a stream of songs from the people they follow. We give our users the ability to view what songs are currently trending on our Discover page, as well as the ability to listen to all of the songs they have liked. Additionally, we make use of the increasingly popular hashtag by allowing users to filter streams of songs by hashtag. This means they can view dynamic playlists focused around anything from a mood to an event or a genre. For example, users could create a stream of songs based on #Coachella, #happy, #ThrowbackThursday, or #country. Our goal is to create the best environment to connect people through music and help them find their next favorite song.
