Rob takes inspiration from what the vast and ever-changing Montana landscape has to offer. From majestic Glacier peaks to the open eastern prairie, his oil paintings evoke empirical truth, beauty and spiritual qualities that define a sense of place and surpass simple portrayal. A graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design and former Creative Director for Tonka Toys, Rob also teaches painting at Flathead Valley Community College and was voted 2008 Best Local Artist in the Flathead Valley (Daily Inter Lake). A frequent participant in many invitational and juried exhibitions and plein air events, Rob has work in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Rob is represented by Going to the Sun Gallery in Whitefish, Creigton Block Gallery in Big Sky, Montana and West Lives On Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
