Rock Farm Slane provides unique ecotourism-based experiences on the Slane Castle Estate. We specialize in ecotourism accommodation in the Lime House (which is Ireland's largest strawbale residential building) and on our beautiful Glamping area with yurts, tipis, bell tents and shepherds hut overlooking the River Boyne and Slane Castle.Guests can participate in outdoor activities that allow them to enjoy the natural surroundings including electric bike, kayaking and organic farm tours as well as recreational tree climbing. We use these experiences to gently guide and facilitate guests to access and enjoy some of the most pristine protected landscapes in this region.The experiences we create provide lasting memories and a reconnection with nature and our farming heritage, whether that's getting people to congregate around a campfire or sit in the branches of a 250 year-old oak tree. We provide a back-to nature experience in an entirely unique and environmentally responsible way. The positive reviews from guests reflect their satisfaction with the authentic and nature-immersed experience we offer. We are certified gold with Ecotourism Ireland and are a Platinum member of the TripAdvisor Green Leaders programme, as well as holding a Certificate of Excellence with TripAdvisor thanks to our 5 out of 5 star rating. We are also an active member of the Boyne Valley Tourism, the Slane Tourism committee, Boyne Valley Food Series, the Organic farming movement in Ireland through the Organic Trust and Leave No Trace Ireland.We have a 180 capacity Hay Barn venue which can be rented for corporate events, weddings and other celebrations.
