Rolf Faste (1943-2003) was a dedicated design educator who believed in the transformative power of human creativity. As director of the product design program at Stanford University for two decades, and a professor of design at Syracuse University for 13 years prior to that, his thoughts on creative thinking touched thousands of students and had a pioneering impact on design education. The Faste Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c) organization, was founded by Rolf's sons Haakon and Trygve in 2009 to further his vision of design creativity as a way of being in the world for the betterment of society and mind.
