Root-1 is involved in designing, building and evaluating applications that fulfill two complementary roles: they engage users in casual gaming/recreational activities when they have short breaks (5-15 minutes) and they help the user improve certain desired cognitive/memory skills, such as vocabulary development, pattern matching, puzzle solving, etc. our goal is to build systems that can build personalized, adaptive versions of these apps that can be used by the consumer to improve their skills by continuous visibility-feedback loops of their activities and the resulting analyses.
