Rotary delivers an enormous benefit to the world it serves by waging war on critical issues such as disease, illiteracy, hunger, poverty and pollution. A major battle is being waged against Polio, and, largely because of the efforts of Rotary, Polio is virtually eradicated from the planet. It remains only in Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Pakistan today. Internationally, Rotary overcomes the cultural, political and social barriers that typically divide people. All Rotarians embrace service above self and strive to make their communities better. Our clubs and members are all linked in common purpose, effort, and resolve to make the world a better place. It is truly amazing what a team can do!
