Sports - Paisley, Scotland, United Kingdom
In 2014, Grant and Nicole founded Route 1 Scholarship Consultancy because they want to offer the best support for young students who want to pursue their athletic dreams of competing in the USA collegiate system to earn their Bachelor's Degree. Along with their families, students require guidance and support throughout this voyage. Going after a sports scholarship in the USA can be daunting, it can be very confusing, and with all the websites and "other" companies who offer some sort of information, it can be hard to know exactly what you need to do. This is where Grant and Nicole step in and become very involved in the young athletes' effort. Route 1 work with student-athletes from all across the World, from Zimbabwe to New Zealand, to the UK. We are also assisting American students on their home territory. While Grant is based in Scotland, Nicole is based in the USA (California to be exact!) With this diversity, we cover more time zones and are more equipped for supporting you during your time at university in the U.S. Let's pause here and clarify a few keywords that you may not be familiar with:*Scholarship* – a financial package awarded to a student in recognition to sporting and/or academic talent*USA collegiate system* – (college=university) There are numerous universities and colleges within the United States of America, and together they have governing bodies who create and oversee rules and regulations in regards to academic standards as well as athletic compliance. *Bachelor's Degree* – (typically) a 4-year earned undergraduate degree. It shows that you have completed university and have met the minimum requirements to have graduated. *Student-Athlete* – an individual who competes in an organized sport which is sponsored by the school in which he or she is enrolled*University/College* – In America, these terms are used interchangeably to describe further education (post-secondary).
