Rover is an on-line magazine devoted to high-quality writing about culture. We are located in Montreal and tend to keep a close though not exclusive watch on Montreal arts, currents, trends, issues. Since launching in 2008, we've posted more than 2,000 original reviews, essays and interviews, many by well-established writers. The magazine exists as a forum for critical comment and conversation, an essential platform for considered opinion and creative reflection. Founded by journalist, novelist, playwright Marianne Ackerman and Edited by Leila Marshy, Rover has grown in depth and reach, thanks to the dedication of some of Montreal's top literary talents. Elise Moser, Mike Mirolla, Heather Leighton, Jamie O'Meara, Megan Stewart, Shawn Katz and others have helped make the site an important cultural reference point in Quebec. A growing list of young talents credit Rover with giving them their first publications and teaching the basics of good writing. All posts are carefully edited. New writers are welcome. We are respectful of the effort and intention behind creativity, and yet mindful of the need for honest comment. Incorporated as a not-for-profit company, Revue Roverarts is sustained by the generosity of its staff and readers. All donations gratefully accepted! Rover also publishes a by-monthly curated selection of the most interesting events happening in Montreal, called #ListMTL. Join our mailing list and receive the news directly into your mailbox.
