Entertainment - Gardena, California, United States
A full fledged entertainment company founded in 1991 by CEO James H Rowe in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Rowe started off by presenting small talent shows out of a rib shack on the corner of Western Ave and Manchester in LA. Though at first he would pay local singers and rappers along with execs of some notable record companies to attend and perform at the shows, eventually talented individuals from far and wide began pouring in to audition for their their chance to perform at what would become known as "The Legendary Unlimited Break Talent Show" which is now held regularly at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Many well known artists and actors have attended and/or participated in the legendary showcase. Some of those include but are definitely not limited to Tyrese Gibson, Montell Jordan, Emenim, Mixmaster Spade, Jay Rock, LL Cool J, Spike Lee, YoYo, Crooked I, even the Immortal James Brown. It was he who actually convinced Mr. Rowe to start his own record label. So in fact he consequently created three labels that would act as subsidiaries of Rowe Entertainment. Rowe Records (hip-hop, r&b, and pop), From Above Records (gospel), and SlopJar Records (blues, southern soul). After dealing with major distributors to find he had the resources to do for himself what he paid them to do. He founded WorldWide Distribution of America (WWDA) which acts as both a digital and physical record distributor as well as a digital retailer for Rowe Entertainments subsidiaries as well as other record labels and artists. Rowe Entertainment dances to the beat of it's own drum and practices what it preaches to anyone who's ever had a dream, and that is to "Never, Ever Give Up On Your Dreams!"
