Rumination Garden, a NICHLOSON + COMPANY project, engages research connected to socio-political and environmental issues, explores relationships between current and historical challenges facing vulnerable communities, and creates research-informed artistic works that foster creative discourse and social change.About Our Founder: Rebecca Nichloson has over ten years of content development experience as a writer/editor and researcher, as well as an extensive background in the nonprofit sector, arts & culture, and academia. She's also served as Director of Communications, Branding, & Organizational Design for Scene-iors Act. During her time in the Sesame Street Writers Room (a fellowship created by Sesame Workshop— A Non-Profit Educational Organization), she created and wrote the pilot for Sasha K. Jenkins, Kid Scientist. The unproduced script, titled "Decoding Hamad's Dream," is for an animated children's series focused on STEM.She's also worked as Communications Associate for Civic Hall Labs (the Research & Development Arm of Civic Hall). Here, she developed communications plans and content for technology programs, pilots and civic tech initiatives. She holds an M.F.A. in Playwriting (Multiplatform Writing) from Columbia University, an M.A. in English Literature and a certificate in Child Development Studies, in addition to having studied digital and print communications at the George Washington University (2015-2016). She is the recipient of the Liberace Award, the Howard Stein Fellowship, The Matthews Fellowship, and an America-in-Play Fellowship, and was a 2015 finalist for an Atlantic Media Editorial Fellowship.To learn more about (RG) visit www.RuminationGarden.org.
